As a Member of the Sumter County School Board, Sally has the privilege of working for all Students in Sumter County.
Certified Board Member Award
Mrs. Moss earned the Certified Board Member Designation after completing the required 96 hours of continuing education in Finance, Governance & Advocacy. Less than 30% of School Board Members in Florida have earned this Title.
Board Appointments:
Mrs. Moss currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the FL PALM Investment Trust, sponsored by the Florida School Board Association & the Florida Association of Districts School Superintendents. She also serves as the School Board Representative on three Sumter County Boards: the Value Adjustment Board, the Lake-Sumter MPO Transportation Board and the Lake-Sumter Disadvantaged Transportation Committee.
In addition to Sally’s School Board Responsibilities, she has also planned numerous personal projects to benefit the students in the Sumter County Schools….. some of those projects are high-lighted below.

Sally has also arranged for the South Sumter High School Navy National Defense Cadet Corp to have a personal guided tour of the Eisenhower Regional Recreation Center with Ret. Col. Harry Lumpkin.
Voyage Autonomous Car
Sally was the first Village Resident to ride in the Voyage Autonomous Car.

Sumter Schools Scholarship Fundraiser Golf Tournament
The 39th Annual Sumter Schools Scholarship Fundraiser Golf Tournament was held at Evans Prairie Golf Club on April 29, 2023. We raised over $18,000 for Graduates from Wildwood & South Sumter High School attending Lake-Sumter State College.
